Bounty Killer Facing Lawsuit

Bounty Killer could find himself with a lawsuit from the promoters of Fully Loaded Music Festival in Trinidad.

Last weekend the dancehall legend walked off the stage during a performance with Beenie Man at the show held Hasely Crawford Stadium, in Port of Spain, Trinidad. Bounty Killer left the stage about five minutes into his performance with Beenie Man and then angrily later left the venue. Needless to say that fans were disappointed, but the dancehall icon later explained that he was not paid to perform with Beenie Man, but rather billed as a solo act.

The promoter Scorch Limited rejected Bounty Killer’s claims saying that the artist signed a contract to perform for up to sixty minutes with Beenie Man on the stage. “In the circumstances, Scorch Limited rejects the suggestion that it did not meet its financial commitment to the artiste as is being alleged in various social media outlets, presumably by the artiste himself,” the company said in a statement. “Scorch Limited further calls upon the artiste to explain in the public domain how he was unaware that the terms of his engagement involved his requirement to perform with the other Jamaican dancehall artiste with whom he shared top billing, since this was an express term of the contract presented by his management company.”

The company also said that it is considering legal action against Bounty Killer and want its reputation restored. Bounty’s management Solid Agency could not be reached for a comment.
